Not just wedding planning... but sustainable living tips too!

We're guessing you came here because you want to make sure you're planning your wedding in a sustainable way - which is great news! However... before we get to the specifics of wedding planning, we wanted to also offer a few tips for living more sustainable. Making changes can be hard but putting in place some of the below tips would be a great starting point for you:

  1. Reduce, reuse, and recycle: By reducing your consumption of single-use items and reusing things as much as possible, you can reduce the amount of waste you produce. Recycling also helps to keep materials out of landfills.

  2. Conserve water: Use water-efficient appliances and fixtures, fix leaks promptly, and reduce water usage by taking shorter showers and turning off the tap when not in use.

  3. Use energy-efficient appliances: Replace old appliances with energy-efficient ones to reduce your energy consumption.

  4. Use alternative transportation: Consider walking, cycling, or using public transportation to reduce your carbon footprint.

  5. Buy locally produced food: By buying food from local farmers and markets, you can support the local economy and reduce the carbon footprint of transportation.

  6. Use eco-friendly cleaning products: Switch to eco-friendly cleaning products that are free of harsh chemicals to reduce the environmental impact of cleaning.

  7. Use reusable bags and containers: Use reusable bags and containers instead of single-use plastics to reduce waste.

  8. Compost: Composting is a great way to reduce waste and create nutrient-rich soil for your garden.

  9. Reduce meat consumption: Eating less meat can reduce your carbon footprint and improve your health.

  10. Use renewable energy sources: Consider installing solar panels or using wind power to generate your own electricity.

We hope these are useful, and don't worry, we also have plenty of tips on how to plan a sustainable wedding so check those out too!

We should also say that we have already taken on board many of these in our every day lives too and while it can be an adjustment at first, you get used to a new way of living so easily!
